9-6-05 Murphree Named to TX Junior College All Star Game This week Sophomore Aaron Murphree has been name to the Texas Junior College All Star Game in Waco. Murphree, a native of Weatherford Texas, was the largest part of the NTCC offense last year leading the team in average, home runs, and runs batted in. Last year Aaron hit .406 with 10 homers and 46 RBI and was second on the team with 30 stolen bases. Murphree is the second Eagle player that was named to the All Star game this year joining teammate Scott Bittle. “The Texas All Star game is one of the premier All Star events in the country. When you look up in the stands it is packed with major division I schools and numerous pro scouts. It is a great honor to be labeled one of the top 40 position players in the State of Texas.” said Coach Smith “Murph is one of the players you love to coach. A physical player with a lot of ability and the drive to get better every day.” The All Star game which is held in Waco Texas on the campus of Baylor University will be held September 30th and October 1st.
