Sophomore, Scott Bittle pitched the opening game of the series, picking up the victory.  Bittle surrendered only 3 hits in 6 innings of work and combined with reliever Frank Weaver to blank the Ranger offense.  The Eagles struck first scoring a lone run in the second inning, on an RBI ground ball off the bat of Kenny Price.  With Bittle dominating on the mound it looked as though one run was all the Eagles would need; however the Eagles broke the game open scoring 3 runs in the bottom half of the fifth inning.  An infield single off the bat of Mitchell Haynes started the two out rally and three pitches late, catcher Drew Pirtle belted an RBI triple off the right field fence.  Sophomore slugger, Aaron Murphree, took advantage of the momentum and crushed a 2-0 change-up over the left center field wall at Eagle Field to increase NTCC’s lead 4-0.  Drew Pirtle finished the evening with a 2-3 performance collecting a double, a triple, and an RBI.

The evening game of the double header wasn’t so kind to the Eagles.  Ranger jumped on the Eagles early scoring a pair of runs in the first inning.  Shaky defense led to an unearned run in the 3rd and 4th innings.  Ranger scored a pair of runs in the 5th inning to bring their total to 6 runs.  The Eagles lone run came in the 6th inning when sophomore Aaron Murphree blasted a solo home run over the left center field fence.  Starting pitcher, Dominick Foster was tagged with his first loss of the season.

Saturday brought better weather and plenty of offense for the Eagles.  The crowd of 155 was treated to a blowout courtesy of NTCC.  The Eagles struck early, plating three runs in the bottom of the first inning, and never looked back.  The Eagle hitters finised the day with 8 runs on 11 hits.  Starting pitcher Steve Smith collected the win, looking sharp, pitching 5 scoreless innings, allowing only 3 hits, and striking out 7.
