Bob Baker Stadium Receives Upgrades
(10-10-07) Mt Pleasant-This
month has been a big month for change for the Northeast Texas Eagles
Baseball Program. They have seen new players, the return of old
tournaments and several up grades to the facilities. "It is a very
exciting time for NTCC and for our Baseball program." said Head Coach
Chris Smith. "This year we have been awarded the Region XIV
Regional
Tournament, we hosted our Fall Conference Tournament, and we have added
several new elements to Bob Baker Stadium." The Eagles are
currently in the middle of a renovation project that will include a new
roof over the upper concourse seating, a complete renovation to the
interior of the Joe Bernat Athletic Services Building, a new brick and
rod iron fence with a grand entryway leading into the Stadium, several
landscaping projects, and several other recreational facilities.
"We
are so happy to be apart of this exciting time here at the college.
It's not very often when you can be apart of projects that will enhance
the overall quality of a kids experience. This is a special place
and every day it becomes more and more special." Said Coach Smith.
"I want to thank Dr. Florio, Dr. McCullough, Mr. Bill
Priefert and the workers at Priefert Manufactering, Mrs. Bob Baker and
their family for the vision and the help that they provided for the
facility upgrades, without them, none of the things we have done could
have ever been accomplished."
