2008 Summer:

Blake spent the summer of 2008 in Chillicothe, Missouri with the Chillicothe Mudcats in the M.I.N.K. League…Blake had a very successful summer posting a 6-1 record with 63 innings pitched while posting a 2.68 ERA…He struck out 58 would be batters while only walking 7 hitters.

2008 Season:

Last year Blake was 4-4 with a 4.68 ERA…He threw 77 innings while striking out a team leading 79 hitters and only walking 23.

2007:

Took a medical redshirt at NTCC.

High School:

Blake posted very impressive numbers on the mound his senior year at Crescent City High School…during his senior year Barber posted a 9-1 record with 2 saves…in his 58 innings pitched he struck out 146 batters and walked only 23 hitters…he finished his senior year with a 0.98 ERA…offensively Barber finished the year with a .334 batting average with 15 doubles and 5 home runs. Blake was named to the All District Team, District most valuable player, All Metro team, and to the Louisiana All State Team.

Personal:

Blake is the son of Danny and Chun Barber..born Dec. 18, 1987…Has one brother, Jeremy (25)…Majoring in sports management…In his spare time Blake likes to play Madden football, hang out, and play other sports…His favorite baseball player is Derek Jeter and his favorite food is pasta.
