High School: Jacob comes off a very impressive high school season at Parkers Chapel High School…In his high school career on the mound he was 37-6 with 253.3 innings pitched…He struck out 395 would be batters while only walking 97 batters with a 2.00 ERA…At the plate Jacob let his bat do the talking with a .479 average with 54 doubles, 11 triples, and 27 home runs…In addition he drove in 223 runners with 59 stolen bases…Jacob was a 4-year Varsity starter, was named to the All-State Team 3 times…His 2007 Parkers Chapel team was crowned State Champions..Jacob was named the 2007 State Tournament MVP and was also a All Star Team Selection Personal: Jacob is the son of Randy and Leah Atwell…He has one sister Molly (15)…His major is undecided…Jacobs future plans are to own and run a baseball academy…In his spare time he likes to hunt, hang out with friends and family, and play video games…Jacob’s favorite meal is steak and potatoes…His favorite baseball team is the New York Yankees and his favorite athlete is Albert Pujols…Jacob signed with Arkansas State University before choosing Northeast Texas Community College.
