2005 Season: Came to Northeast for the spring semester in 2005 after taking a year and a half off of baseball…made an impact on the mound by going 3-1 in conference on the mound with a 7.38 Earned Run Average…won two of his starts in conference, beating Bossier Parish and Angelina College. High School: At Hughes Springs High School Brandon was a stand out Pitcher…his senior year Brandon had a 9-2 record in 11 starts…in 68 innings of work Brandon struck out 77 hitters while only walking 15….posted a 1.23 ERA…Wellborn was also named to the 2001 and 2002 All-State Team. Personal: Brandon is the son of Keith and Wendy Wellborn….born August 5, 1984….Brandon has three siblings Jeff (26), Kris (25), and Kelsey (18)…Brandon plans to major in criminal justice….in his spare time Brandon likes to hunt and fish…his favorite food is pizza….favorite baseball player is “the express” Nolan Ryan. |
