High School: Steve is another one of the Eagles stand out two way players…in high school Steve finished his career with a 35-5 record with 5 saves…had 240 innings pitched with 375 strike outs and a miniscule 1.04 ERA…at the plate Smith faired even better finishing with a .578 batting average 70 doubles and 24 homeruns…in four years Smith totaled 280 runs batted in and was voted to the Texas All State team in 2003, 2004, 2005…was also named his districts most valuable player his sophomore and junior years. Personal: Steve is the son of Steve and Vangee Smith…born on August 8, 1986…has two sisters Brooke (23) Marissa (24) and a brother Ricky (22)…in his spare time Steve likes to go hunting and fishing…his favorite meal is baby back ribs and his favorite player is Ty Cobb…Steve also likes to watch the Rangers when he got spare time. |
